Maroon Bells Fall Destination Wedding

When it comes to intimate or micro weddings, Rocky and Desiree picked one of the best possible locations ever, the Maroon Bells Amphitheater in Aspen, Colorado. We have many beautiful views and locations here in Colorado, but the Maroon Bells are one of my all-time favorite spots. With the help of their fantastic wedding planner Mallorie, their dream destination wedding came true. Rocky and Desiree came all the way from Texas to celebrate their love with their close family and friends at the Maroon Bells.

The morning was stunning. It was a perfect crisp fall morning at the Bells with the most magical golden fall colors. Clouds rolled in and out, but the fall sun peaked through enough to warm us up. When Rocky and Desiree got into Aspen, they didn’t go to the Maroon Bells; they wanted the fall view to be a surprise. They’d been to the Bells in the summer, but in the fall, it’s completely glowing with the golden color of the Aspens groves. So when Rocky arrived to get ready for their first look, he was mesmerized at how majestic the area was. He couldn’t stop gazing off at the scene in front of him.

Majestic First Look

With the 14,163 feet Maroon Bells as their setting, we got Rocky in place for their First look. Desiree was walking down the lake path and couldn’t believe the beauty sprawled out in front of her either. She was angelic in her wedding gown with lace details and a scalloped train. With Rocky facing the Bells, Desiree stood ready to call his name.

When Rocky turned around to see his soon-to-be wife standing there, he lit up. His smile was as bright as the sun shining through the golden aspen leaves. The scenery faded into the background at that moment, and they couldn’t take their eyes off each other.

After some much-needed photos with these two in this awe-inspiring spot, we made our way up to the Amphitheater, where Rocky and Desiree’s family and friends waited to celebrate their love with them.

Celebrating with Family and Friends

Being in the Amphitheater, away from the tourists walking around, creates this sense of peace and joy. It was the perfect spot for Rocky and Desiree to share everything, from saying I DO to their first dance and a sparkling wine toast with all their friends and family overlooking the Maroon Bells. It, indeed, was the perfect morning.

After photos and a little rain, we headed back into Aspen to the Limelight Hotel for a relaxing rooftop reception. Between great company and delicious food, we loved spending the day capturing Rocky and Desiree’s special day.
