South Mesa Trail Fall Engagement

I love Colorado in the fall, Crisp weather, beautiful sunshine, and of course, Golden Aspen leaves all over the place! When Darcy and Tyler said they wanted to have more of a Fall Sweater weather engagement session, I was all in! After throwing around location ideas, I know we picked the perfect spot! You can’t go wrong with South Mesa Trail in Boulder. It had everything we were looking for, even though the creek area was closed off. We still had beautiful views of the Mountains and brilliant fall colors. Plus a bonus, their adorable little fur baby Kajah joined us for a few photos too.

How it all Began

Tylers and Darcy’s love story is simple and sweet, and some of the greatest love stories are that way! Timing can be everything sometimes. After a couple of years of their Mutual friends trying to introduce them, the timing never worked. But fate has a glorious way of working. Come to find out, they both worked at the same company and never interacted at work until they went to the same work event. And as they say in the best love stories…the rest is history.

Then on July 10th, as they were getting ready to head over to Tyler’s brother’s house…let me just have you read Darcy’s wording cause it’s great! “Tyler lured me into our bedroom (with our Lil monster dog Kajah) and said “Darcy.” As I turned around saying “what damnit?”, I saw Tyler on one knee asking me to marry him.” I love it when the bride-to-be has NO idea that a proposal is coming. It makes for some great stories.

Now here we are, and so grateful we get to photograph Darcy and Tyler’s wedding at Ellis Ranch in Loveland, Colorado. When Darcy described the Rustic vibe and colors they are looking at going with, I was so excited, and being that they know our sweet couple Dalton and Bin, again, it had to be fate stepping in that we get to be their photographers.
