Enchanting Summer Wedding

Love has a funny way of finding us, often when we least expect it. Jimmy and Morgan’s journey began on the exclusive dating app “The League.” This wasn’t your average dating app—it required a college degree and a LinkedIn profile, which was perfect for Morgan, who had grown weary of the ‘entrepreneurs’ and ‘musicians’ of Nashville.

Their first date was meant to be at a favorite Mexican restaurant, but as fate would have it, the restaurant was closed! They didn’t let this hiccup spoil their night and instead ventured next door to a Vietnamese place. The evening was so magical they ended up talking until the restaurant closed. The universe was clearly already weaving its magic around them.

Fast forward to the proposal—Jimmy had a week-long class in DC, and Morgan decided to join him. One evening, they embarked on a ‘Monuments at Night’ tour with his classmates. Under the enchanting night sky, in front of the reflecting pool by the Lincoln Memorial, Jimmy got down on one knee and proposed. One of his classmates captured this perfect, romantic moment, creating a timeless memory.

Their wedding day was nothing short of picturesque. It was one of the most incredible days in July, with just the right amount of rain to add a touch of enchantment to their Chandelier Barn and Dove House wedding. Entering the reception space at the Dove House felt like stepping into a dream. Madeline had worked her magic again, creating an atmosphere like walking into a lavender field. Banquet tables were adorned with eucalyptus, fresh lavender stems, oil-burning lamps, and books. The cutest little succulents were waiting as take-home gifts from Jimmy and Morgan.

When we arrived, Jimmy and the groomsmen were having a blast in the man cave, playing an intense game of Mario Kart. Meanwhile, the ladies were in the bridal suite, capturing cute pajama pics and enjoying wedding day mimosas. Morgan’s Justin Alexander dress was simply stunning with its fitted lace bodice and lace train. She paired it with the softest tulle veil that extended the length of her dress. Her bouquet was beautiful and featured a charming little brooch that had graced five other family weddings.

Jimmy and Morgan chose to have a first touch. We set them up in the Pavilion at the Dove House, where the breeze gently lifted the white curtains, adding an extra touch of romance and whimsy. The anticipation and love in the air were palpable as they held hands and shared a quiet moment before the ceremony.

The ceremony took place in the Chandelier Barn. The wedding party took their places on the staircase landing while Morgan was tucked away, preparing for her grand entrance. As the doors to the bridal suite opened, Morgan descended the stairs, and Jimmy couldn’t take his eyes off her. I’m pretty sure some tears were ready to fall as they looked at each other lovingly. Their good friend Mitch officiated for the first time and did an incredible job, capturing the joy and love shared between Jimmy and Morgan. It was a beautiful ceremony filled with laughter and heartfelt vows. Jimmy even pulled out a scroll on which he had written his vows, adding a storybook touch to the moment. When Mitch announced them as husband and wife, their first kiss was met with thunderous applause from family and friends.

From that moment on, the celebration was in full swing! We had a blast taking family photos and then headed to the reception, where the Drink Burros from Sparrow Hill sweetly greeted everyone. These adorable burros were a hit, dressed as a bride and groom, complete with flowers, a top hat, and a bridal hat. Jimmy and Morgan loved having them there and took some much-needed photos.

The evening was nothing short of incredible. Once the dance floor opened up, it was packed shoulder to shoulder. This crowd knew how to party! As the last song played, Jimmy and Morgan took to the floor one last time for a private moment while their guests grabbed sparklers and headed outside. With sparklers lit, creating a glowing tunnel, the newlyweds made their way to their waiting car, ready to start their newest adventure.

Congratulations, Jimmy and Morgan! We are so grateful to have celebrated your love and joy on your wedding day. It was truly remarkable, and we appreciate you both so much. We can’t wait to see how your adventure unfolds, and let’s be honest—a honeymoon in Japan is an amazing way to start it off!
