Carmella & Dustin | Colorado Engagement at Charles Winburn Park
Oh my goodness, I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun we had with Carmella & Dustin during their Colorado engagement session at Charles Winburn Park! The weather was absolutely perfect—classic Colorado blue skies, sunshine that made everything glow, and the dreamiest sunset to wrap it all up. These two radiate so much love and joy, and photographing them together was truly a highlight for me.
Carmella & Dustin’s story started back in 2019 in such a fun, unexpected way. At the time, Carmella was working at a gymnastics gym where Dustin was a regular. One night during open mat, he decided to show off and threw a double backflip (yes… a double backflip!). He landed it flawlessly, walked over to Carmella, and used it as the perfect conversation starter. That evening turned into hours of talking, and it was the beginning of something amazing. Fast forward five years later, and in 2024 they got engaged!
For their 5th anniversary, they planned a getaway to Estes Park, Colorado. They stayed at the historic Stanley Hotel (already magical on its own), and one morning Dustin led Carmella into the garden. With the mountains behind them, he got down on one knee and proposed. It was a total surprise—and such a romantic, unforgettable moment.
One of my favorite things to ask couples is what they love most about each other. Carmella and Dustin’s answers were so sweet:

Their smiles during our session were absolutely contagious. We soaked in the sunshine and captured so many authentic moments. There’s such a calm, natural ease when they’re together—like they’re truly each other’s perfect match. You can see it in every single photo.
I’m beyond excited to capture Carmella & Dustin’s June 2026 wedding at the Gatehouse and Chandelier Barn at Lionsgate Event Center. These venues are stunning on their own, but with a couple as joyful and in love as these two, it’s going to be pure magic.
