Love has a way of bringing together two souls that fit just right, like the perfect missing pieces of a puzzle. And let me tell you—Isabelle and Isaac are that perfect fit! Spending an afternoon with these two for their engagement session at South Mesa Trail in Boulder, Colorado, was nothing short of magical. From the moment I met them, I knew their love story was one for the books, and capturing their connection through my lens was pure joy.
Colorado weather—always keeping us on our toes! The morning greeted us with a crisp chill in the air, but by the afternoon, the sun decided to make a grand entrance, pushing through the clouds to bathe Isabelle and Isaac in a warm, golden glow. It was almost as if Mother Nature herself was celebrating their love!
Isabelle’s bubbly, infectious personality had us all laughing from the start. She brings an energy that lights up every moment, and when paired with Isaac’s calm and steady presence, the balance is just beautiful to witness. They truly bring out the best in each other, and we felt so honored to document this incredible chapter of their love story.
Now, let’s talk about how this love story began—because it’s straight out of a modern-day romance novel. Isabelle and Isaac first met while working at the post office in Arvada. Isabelle was brand new to the job, while Isaac had already been there for a while. The moment he shook her hand, she knew there was something special. The funny thing? Neither of them was looking for a relationship at the time!
But fate had other plans. Their friendship blossomed over shared music playlists and smoke breaks. When Isaac invited Isabelle on a date to the arcade, she was so nervous she almost didn’t go—but thank goodness she did! That night was the start of something truly incredible.
And the proposal? Absolute perfection. While Isabelle was at work, Isaac gathered both of their families and transformed a room with glowing heart-shaped candles and marquee letters that spelled out his proposal. When she walked in, she was completely surprised—one of the best memories of her entire life!

For Isabelle, it’s Isaac’s warm and kind heart, his honesty (because she knows she can trust him with anything), and his hilarious sense of humor that keeps her laughing harder than ever before.
For Isaac, it’s Isabelle’s bright and beautiful smile (which is why he’s always cracking jokes—to see it more!), her kind and passionate heart, and her strong sense of self—because one of her mottos in life is “Know thyself,” and she lives by it every day.
This engagement session was just the beginning, and we cannot wait to continue telling their love story when we capture their wedding day at Lionsgate Event Center’s Chandelier Barn and Dove House!
