Styled Sessions, Styled Shoots whatever you want to call them, are my Jam! I love them. I love them just as much as I love photographing a real wedding. Why you might ask? Because I get to be creative without any holds really. I also love being creative to show Brides and couples what they can create for their own wedding.
I have had Brides unsure of what their vision is for their wedding. They have asked what should their colors be, what decorations should they have etc. At that moment I kind of get excited because I can say “Oh my Gosh I just did this Romantic Styled Wedding Session and I think the concept and colors would fit you perfectly.” Or I’ll tell them to check out the different styled shoots I have done to see if any of those ideas spark some inspirations.
I love creating my own styled shoots and participating just as a photographer in others. Its fun, it allows me to continually practice my craft/art and it honestly helps me relieve my own stress.
Hearth House Elegance and Romance
When I found out about the styled shoot that Alysha Lee set up at the Hearth House in Monument Colorado. I quickly jumped on board! I loved her mood board and concept for the shoot. It was Romantic and the venue was so adorable. The Hearth House has the great Rustic yet Modern feel to it. If you are planning your wedding you could create so much with this space! It’s incredible and the fireplace, OH MY GOSH!!!
I get to the shoot which was about an hour from where I live. But I love Colorado so I never have a problem driving to places that aren’t close to me. Its always an adventure in Colorado 🙂 Everything was ready to go. The cake was astounding! It was a 5 tiered emerald green, with deep purple and light pink floral accents, as well as some gold accents also. It was amazing and probably my favorite detail!
