A beautiful Colorado Summer Minimony

On Saturday, August 8, 2020, Todd and Hannah said I DO in the most incredible heartfelt Minimony. When I first talked with Hannah and Todd on the phone, they were choosing between a location in Grandby Colorado or Bennett Colorado. Bennett Colorado was the winner. It was more intimate, and all parents would be there to share it with them. 🙂

When I arrived at the house, I was in awe of the open fields and sky. Then Mariah, their wedding planner, took me down to see the Ceremony site. Two giant cottonwood trees sitting side by side, creating the perfect arch. We had everything I could want to photograph their Minimony. The sky was blue with a few clouds; there was a gentle breeze, tall grass, beautiful green leaves. Who wouldn’t want all of that for their special day?

I love it when there is sentimental detail on a wedding day. Hannah and Todd had no shortage of sentiment. Hannah wore her mom’s gorgeous wedding dress that paired perfectly with Todd’s kilt and tartan pattern.
They included the color of the tartan into Hannah’s ribbons on her bouquet. With the burgundy and green ribbons wrapping the flowers they accented perfectly.

The Infamous Pinecone

To add to the sentimental value of the day, Hannah gave me a GIANT pinecone to use in their details. The explanation of the pinecone is priceless! When Todd and Hannah started dating in 2014, their first date consisted of driving to Beales Falls, getting lost, finding the trail, hiking to the falls, and then dinner at Black Bear Diner.

So when Todd proposed in 2018 he set it up to recreate that date, even the getting lost part 🙂 Hannah found this pinecone with all intentions of taking photos of their rings with it, but it turned out that her hunger and blood sugar got the best of her. Todd being the Chilvarous gentleman that he is, carried Hannah and the pinecone. That pinecone after drawing blood, from Todd, has to be a symbol of all that he will endure for his Hannah! Todd will never say that he likes the pinecone, even though it seems like he does! 🙂

From First look to the Ceremony, Todd and Hannah had me laughing. They both have such incredible positive personalities. I love how playful they were with each other the whole morning.

Their Heartfelt Ceremony

My favorite part of the day was the ceremony. Standing in front of the two giant cottonwood trees in Jenny’s Pasture with just their parents, Hannah and Todd said I Do. They both wrote their vows, and I wish I would have had some tissue in my pocket. Their vows were a testament to the love that they share. The wedding rings Hannah and Todd exchanged were so unique, unlike any I have ever seen. The moment they were pronounced Husband and Wife was the greatest. You could see the happiness and excitement as Todd kissed his Wife.

I am so grateful that I got to be a part of Hannah and Todds intimate Minimony. I can’t express enough how much I loved every part of it. They are truly blessed to have one another, and I wish them all the world’s happiness. They are such amazing people, and I absolutely adore them both!
