I’m absolutely thrilled to share Nathen and Kendra’s incredible wedding day with you! We knew from their engagement session that this day was going to be amazing! Their wedding was a perfect mix of love, laughter, and sheer joy, from their heartfelt first touch to the epic dance floor celebrations. Natalie and the entire vendor team worked their magic, transforming the Gatehouse into a breathtakingly picturesque wedding venue. The day radiated timeless romance and exceeded all expectations in fun and excitement.
Our day kicked off with Kendra and her fabulous bridesmaids rocking the cutest matching pajamas in the bride’s room. Laughter and excitement filled the air as they shared those precious pre-wedding moments together. There’s nothing quite like the bond of best friends getting ready for such a special day, and these ladies embodied pure joy and anticipation. Meanwhile, Christopher headed to the groom’s area to join Nathen and his groomsmen. They kept things relaxed with drinks, a few rounds of pool, and great company, soaking in the excitement building up to the main event. It was the perfect blend of chill vibes and anticipation before the big moment.
A Private Moment in the Secret Garden
One of the most enchanting moments of the day unfolded in the Gatehouse Secret Garden during their first touch and vow reading. Nathen and Kendra stood back to back; each reading vows penned just for the other. Christopher and I captured this intimate exchange from afar, letting their expressions and reactions tell the story. Even without hearing their words, their eyes spoke volumes—filled with love, promises, and sheer beauty. It was a moment that seemed to suspend time, leaving only their love story to bloom in the garden.
Sunshine and Sentiments Ceremony
Colorado weather has a knack for surprises, and today was no exception. The morning began with a touch of overcast skies and a sprinkle of rain, yet as 4:30 approached for the ceremony, the Colorado sun burst forth in all its glory. As Kendra and her Dad made their way down the aisle, Nathen caught sight of her, his eyes immediately filling with tears of love. There was an electric sense of connection as they locked eyes, unable to tear their gaze away from each other, the air buzzing with their intense emotions. The ceremony was pure sweetness, with special commendations to the officiant for declaring it a digital-free wedding. A poignant moment of silence honored loved ones who couldn’t be with us, adding a heartfelt touch to the day. As Nathen and Kendra said their I Do’s, exchanged rings and had their first kiss, their family and friends cheered and celebrated the beginning of this new journey.
We were enveloped by such a wonderfully friendly and respectful group of family and friends. The wedding party was an absolute joy to work with! From striking poses for photos to hitting the dance floor, they exuded boundless energy and infectious fun. The reception, set in the Gatehouse at Lionsgate, was a delightful mix of elegance and vibrancy, effortlessly blending old-fashioned charm with sophistication and romance. The celebration sparkled with love and laughter, making every moment truly unforgettable.
From Heartfelt Toasts to One more Song!
As the reception kicked off with a grand entrance by the wedding party, followed by Nathen and Kendra making their dazzling appearance, the energy was electric! DJ Jack worked his magic, keeping the dance floor alive all night with an incredible mix of tunes that had everyone moving and grooving. Meanwhile, friends and family gathered around the sweetheart’s table during dinner, showering the newlyweds with heartfelt congratulations and filling the air with warmth and pure celebration. It was a night brimming with lively vibes and joyous moments that perfectly captured the spirit of the evening.
The toasts were simply unforgettable! From the Maid of Honor to Nathen’s youngest brother and Kendra’s Dad, each speech overflowed with heartfelt emotion and genuine love for the couple. The room was filled with palpable admiration for Nathen and Kendra. Their first dance was a beautiful blend of sentimentality and joy, a nod to the first song they ever danced to together. And let me just say, these two know how to light up the dance floor!
We whisked Nathen and Kendra away for breathtaking sunset photos before the festivities began. And let me tell you, this crowd sure knows how to celebrate! The dance floor was alive with energy all night, despite a few mishaps with broken glasses that the groomsmen and waitstaff handled like pros. DJ Jack kept the party rocking until the end, even giving in to a well-deserved encore when the crowd chanted one more song. It was a night of unforgettable moments and non-stop fun!
As the song’s final notes faded away, guests gathered outside for Nathen and Kendra’s epic sparkler exit. It was the picture-perfect ending to a magical day. Hand in hand, they dashed through a dazzling tunnel of sparklers, their faces radiant with excitement and boundless love. Their getaway SUV awaited, ready to whisk them off to the beginning of their extraordinary journey as husband and wife.
