Classic and Joy Filled Summer Wedding

I am so excited to share Corey and Dana’s spectacular wedding day at The Gatehouse at Lionsgate on July 18 2024. It was one of those perfect days when everything seemed to fall into place. The weather was fantastic, with just a sprinkle of rain to keep things interesting before it cleared up, leaving us with gorgeous skies.
Christopher kicked things off with Corey and the guys. They were in full celebration mode—eating pizza, having drinks, and diving into some serious poker and pool action. Meanwhile, Dana and her ladies were in the Bride’s room, getting ready, snacking, and sipping some drinks. It was a scene straight out of a movie, complete with laughter and a few happy tears.
Dana looked absolutely breathtaking in her fitted wedding gown with a lace train. Her veil had a special touch—it was the same veil her sisters wore at their weddings. Talk about a beautiful family tradition! And those details! Dana went all out with DIY projects that added such a heartfelt touch to the day. She crafted these incredible wood flowers for the bouquets and printed their vows on large canvases to share their love story with everyone. But the most touching detail—and the one that had me tearing up—was the charm for her dad that Dana kept on her bouquet, keeping him close throughout the day.
One of the sweetest moments was their first touch. Corey and Dana decided not to do a first look but opted for a first touch. We originally planned for them to reach around the columns at the Pavilion in the Gatehouse backyard, where they would soon have their ceremony. But Colorado Skies had other plans. As they reached out to touch hands, giant raindrops began to fall. Luckily, Dana was prepared in her cute wedding day Converse and, in true athletic style, sprinted with dress in hand back inside. Since their first touch was interrupted by weather, we set up First Touch 2.0 on the patio and had them go back to back. It was a beautiful moment for them to hold hands and enjoy being together before they officially said, “I do.”
The ceremony was a perfect blend of love and laughter, with their trainer as the officiant, who did a fantastic job representing Corey and Dana’s bond. When Dana stepped out of the Gatehouse and Corey saw her for the first time, his reaction captured all our hearts. He couldn’t look away from her for more than a second, and it was simply to wipe the tears of love from his eyes. As soon as they said “I do,” the party was on! The DJ kept the energy high, and Dana and her bridesmaids dominated the dance floor. One of the bridesmaids even grabbed the bouquet for an epic lip-sync solo to “RESPECT”—the dance floor was on fire!
The guests gathered outside for the sparkler exit as the night drew to a close. But Corey and Dana took a moment for themselves, sharing a last dance to a classic Eddie Money’s “Take Me Home Tonight.” It was a perfect end to their special day. They then danced their way through the sparkler tunnel, ready for their honeymoon adventure to Banff, Canada, in October.
Corey and Dana, congratulations! We are so grateful to have been part of your day and to celebrate your love. It was indeed a blessing and a joy. We are eagerly looking forward to the next chapter in your love story.
