Colorado Fall Fairytale Wedding

Once upon a time, in a place as magical as the Gatehouse at Lionsgate Event Center, Dustin and Kayla’s love story unfolded like a real-life fairytale. With soft pinks and fresh greens dancing throughout the décor, Kayla had chosen this stunning venue because it reminded her of Beauty and the Beast’s enchanted castle. The Gatehouse, with its timeless charm, became the perfect backdrop for their dream wedding—a day fit for a modern-day prince and princess.
Much of that enchanting atmosphere was made possible by the amazing Alaina, who worked her magic to turn the Gatehouse into a picture-perfect space for Dustin and Kayla. From the layout to the flawless details, Alaina truly crafted a fairytale backdrop, giving this wedding a timeless, romantic vibe. It took me back to their romantic engagement session set against the Colorado Mountains.
A Chill Start to a Perfect Day
When we arrived, the energy was laid-back and full of excitement. Dustin and his groomsmen were casually playing pool upstairs, while downstairs in the bridal suite, Kayla and her bridesmaids were surrounded by beauty and laughter as they had their hair and makeup done.
Kayla’s mom was like a real-life fairy godmother, always making sure the girls were taken care of with such warmth and grace. She was the kind of person who makes everyone feel at home, and by the end of the night, I just wanted to wrap her in a big hug. She was so polite and kind—truly a breath of fresh air.
Kayla’s Princess Moment
With her makeup finished and excitement bubbling over, it was time for Kayla’s bridesmaids to see her for the first time in the dress. None of them had seen it yet, and the reveal was about to be an unforgettable moment. Kayla slipped into her off-the-shoulder champagne ball gown by Mia Solano, with a delicate lace tulle overlay. The moment she walked out, it was like watching Cinderella before the ball—stunning, regal, and so perfectly Kayla.
When she stepped outside and her bridesmaids turned around, their reactions were priceless—pure shock and awe. Kayla was the picture-perfect princess, and the joy on her bridesmaids’ faces said it all. It was one of those moments you dream about when planning your wedding, and it couldn’t have gone more perfectly.
Dustin’s Dashing Look
Not to be outdone, Dustin looked every bit the prince in a deep green suit—a bold, non-traditional choice that perfectly fit the day’s vibe. I always love it when grooms choose a look that helps them stand out, and Dustin’s suit was a statement piece all its own. It added a unique touch while still keeping the day’s elegant feel, making him every bit the prince to Kayla’s princess.
The Ceremony—Love in Every Moment
Colorado weather decided to keep us on our toes as the ceremony drew near, throwing in a light sprinkle here and there ( classic Colorado, right?!). But nothing could dampen the magic. Kayla, escorted by her mom and dad (such a sweet touch!), took that long-awaited walk down the aisle.. The way Dustin looked at her when she appeared—completely captivated—was one of those heart-stopping moments you only see in the movies.
When their hands met, you could feel the calm and love wash over them both. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they exchanged heartfelt vows, said their “I do’s,” and were finally announced as husband and wife. The smiles on their faces said it all—this was the moment they had been waiting for, and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
Let the Celebration Begin!
With the ceremony behind them, it was time to let loose and celebrate! Colorado skies stayed moody, but it didn’t stop us from getting some amazing wedding party photos.. Then, it was time for dinner and dancing—and when I say dancing, I mean dancing!
Dustin and Kayla shared their romantic first dance, complete with a graceful little fall (because, hey, even fairytales have a few twists!) it honestly made the moment so endearing. The tear-jerker of the night? Kayla’s emotional daddy-daughter dance. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room—including mine. I tried to keep it together, but her bridesmaids totally caught me wiping away my tears!
After that, the dance floor was the place to be. Kayla even had a fabulous outfit change, swapping into a fun, short white dress with an adorable bow on the back—keeping those princess vibes strong all night long. DJ Precious kept the energy alive, and she even jumped on the dance floor a few times, keeping the celebration going well into the night.
A Magical Sparkler Send-Off
As the night came to a close, Dustin and Kayla shared one last private dance—just the two of them, soaking in the final moments of their perfect wedding day. Then, with sparklers lighting up the night, they made their grand exit, hand in hand. They paused for one last kiss under the glow of the sparklers before heading off into their happily ever after.

Dustin and Kayla, your wedding day was nothing short of a dream come true. You truly were the prince and princess of the day, and it was such an honor to capture the love you share.
