Tapestry House by Wedgewood
LaPorte Colorado May 16th 2021
When Christopher and I got up the morning of May 16th, 2021, ready to get our gear prepared for Tyler and Hilarys Wedding, I looked out the window, and my heart started to sink a little. The sky was grey, and forecasts were calling for rain starting at 2 pm, just in time for us to start documenting their day. As we were heading to Laporte, Colorado, to the ever beautiful Tapestry House, the skies were becoming a little brighter, and the rain was pushing out later and later for the day. Fingers crossed we wouldn’t get any rain, and that’s precisely what happened…it was just like their engagement session, perfect weather, and …It didn’t rain!!! It was a perfect day, with cooler temps and a Bride and Groom ready to say I do no matter what.
We love weddings at the Tapestry House; not only is it a GORGEOUS venue, but everyone there is just so fantastic. The whole team works so hard to make sure that the day goes so smoothly. As the wedding party and their families started arriving, it was such a heartwarming experience to see the hugs, joy, and smiles from them all. The afternoon was downright bursting with laughter and happiness. The bridesmaids were hanging out getting ready while the Groomsmen were upstairs enjoying their Cigars and beer, waiting for their suits to arrive.
The First Look
Both Hilary and Tyler were getting ready for the first significant part of their day….Their First Look 🙂 Tyler was getting in his suite, awesome Marvel socks, and adding the sweet touch of his monogrammed custom-made cufflinks. 🙂 While downstairs, Hilary was stepping into her elegant full-length gown, complete with crystals adorning her A-line dress and straps.
Once dressed and ready, we all took a few deep breaths, bid farewell to the wedding party, and headed to our first look area. Christopher and I picked out the gorgeous little spot just off the side of the house. With Tyler ready, looking away from the House, Hilary made her way down the walkway to him. And just at the right moment, she called out to have him turn around. My heart melted seeing Tyler’s reaction to his beautiful Bride standing there in front of him. His hands came to his face, and tears filled his eyes. It was one of those moments that you want to stay in forever. After taking a few minutes to be together, we started capturing some of the best photos imaginable!
It was so fulfilling to have the amount of time we did to take photos with Hilary, Tyler, and their entire wedding party. We had so much fun with them. This group had the best personalities, and everyone was so welcoming and friendly. As we ended our fun photo session with the wedding party, it was time to hide them away as guests arrived and were beginning to take their seats. The time was almost here for Tyler and Hilary to pledge their love to each other.
Time to Say I Do
The great thing about the Tapestry House is that the grounds are so gorgeous that you don’t need a lot of decorations to make things look amazing. Hilary’s mom Sally did a fantastic job decorating with simple lanterns and tulips. It was perfect!
As the Wedding Party took their place, everyone was asked to stand as Hilary was escorted down the aisle by her dad. And even though Tyler had already seen Hilary at their First Look, he was again awestruck watching her walk towards him. Tears filled his eyes and many other eyes as well. It was such a wonderful thing to see so many people share this moment with them. As they read their vows, I don’t think there was a dry eye there; even I had to wipe away some tears 🙂 As soon as they exchanged their rings and said I DO, they were announced, Husband and Wife!
The Party didn’t stop there it was just beginning!!! You could tell that they set up their reception for their friends and family to have fun. With yard games, a s’more table at the fire pit, fabulous music from the DJ, dancing, and more, you could tell everyone was having the BEST time. As the evening came to an end, we all gathered outside to send Tyler and Hilary off the right way with BUBBLES! Their guests all lined up with bubbles in hand, cheering and shouting for them. They jumped into Tyler’s truck and were off!!! Well, almost, they circled the parking lot and, before heading out, handed Christopher a small box which he then passed to me. I honestly have to say I have the BEST and sweetest couples ever. I opened the little gift box, and inside were the cutest earrings with cameras on them. I love love love them!
