Baldoria on the Water

Colorado Winter Wedding

December 5, 2021

Thomas and Lindsey’s Baldoria on the Water December wedding had everything from beautiful colors, tears and laughter, and even a quick change in the weather. The most important thing that you could feel was the happiness and love surrounding them. I usually don’t book weddings or any photography sessions in December. We take that month to spend with our family and do all the fun, festive Christmas stuff. When I saw Lindsey’s post in one of the Facebook groups asking if anyone was available for their December 5th wedding, something told me to give her my information. I am so glad that I did because Thomas and Lindsey are absolutely incredible. The love they share and the respect and trust they gave us were more than I could have asked for.

Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin to describe how magical their day was. To start, Lindseys Mother In Law Angela gave Lindsey the sweetest gift, the necklace Lindsey wore. Angela had the necklace made using stones from Thomas’s grandmother’s ring, that had been passed down. And then Lindsey wore her engagement and wedding ring along with her grandmother’s ring. They had a memorial section with photos of Lindsey’s grandmother and Thomas’s grandfathers during the ceremony. I lost count at how many times my eyes teared up. Plus, Thomas and Lindsey provided blankets for their guests just in case they got cold during the ceremony 🙂 So much love!!!

Memorable First Looks

Before their wedding, I asked them if they were planning to do a first look, and they said Yes, one with Lindsey’s dad Tony and then theirs. So we get ready for Tony to see Lindsey, and I’m not kidding he was starting to cry before he even turned around to see his beautiful daughter. When Lindsey told him to turn around, his eyes lit up and filled with tears, as did hers…and mine. It was by far the sweetest Daddy First look I have photographed. So then we get Thomas ready outside for their first look, and the Temperature DROPS! The wind picks up, but Thomas and Lindsey are troupers. When Thomas turned around and saw Lindsey, his excitement was beyond anything I could describe. It was pure love radiating from him. He couldn’t stop telling her how beautiful she was; their first look will surely go down as one of my favorites.

Let’s get Married

The moment was here for them to say I do, and even though Thomas had already seen Lindsey, his eyes filled with tears as Tony walked her down the aisle to him. Even though they both were freezing 🙂 You would never have been able to tell. They were so ready for this moment. It was so cute after they said their vows to each other they both had a second where they were about to kiss, but we still had rings to exchange 🙂
Once their officiant announced them, Husband and Wife, there was no hesitation. Thomas took Lindsey into his arms.

The rest of their evening, they were surrounded by friends and family from all over the country. They danced the night away, and everyone had so much fun. The DJ knew the right songs to play to get everyone up and out of their seats. Everyone headed outside when it was time to say goodbye, sparklers in hand. As their Sparkler tunnel went up, Thomas and Lindsey made their way down the line, not once but twice…maybe even three times, we were making sure we got those photos 🙂 I’m yelling from the front for everyone to raise the sparklers high and Christophers in the back doing the same thing. I couldn’t stop laughing. We were excited it all worked out!

Thomas and Lindsey, we are so grateful to you for trusting us to capture your love and beautiful day. Congratulations, and may your time in Paradise, aka Hawaii 🙂 be beyond amazing and utterly magical. You both deserve the best!
