Engagements

Union Station and Red Rocks Engagement

February 18, 2022 Colorado

I love train stations, I don’t know why but in every train station I have ever been they are so ornate and just gorgeous, plus so many of them have the best light for photos! Plus, taking a train somewhere is just fun!! So when Kevin and Cara mentioned that they got engaged at the Cooper Lounge at Denver’s Union Station, I secretly wanted to do their engagement photos there right away. And when they came back wanting to do some there too, my heart jumped for joy! It is absolutely stunning inside the station and at Cooper Lounge!

Since Cara contacted me, they have been a dream couple to work with! I adore them and can’t wait for their wedding in August!

St. Marks Day

Their love story is super cute, and they have even named January 19th as St. Marks Day because their first date was at St. Marks Coffeehouse. How adorable is that! After eight months, they took a giant leap and ventured overseas to Portugal together. Kevin told Cara he loved her for the first time the night before they left, so their Portugal trip was so romantic.

A Surprise Proposal

I love how Kevin set up the proposal. First conspiring with Caras twin sister! Caras sister and friend, after a rough year as healthcare workers
( my heart goes out to you!!), they all decided they needed a girl’s night out 🙂 We all need those from time to time. After getting dressed up in sparkly dresses and getting their hair done, they ventured out for a night of fun! Sushi and drinks at Cooper Lounge, you can’t go wrong with that! Once they arrived at Coopers Lounge and had a little toast, Caras’s sister and friend headed off to the “bathroom.” There in their little section where Cara was sitting, Kevin slipped in and popped the question while her sister and friend captured the whole thing on their phones. So much for the bathroom 🙂

That leads us to the present because obviously, Cara said yes! 🙂 We revisited Cooper Lounge for their engagement session and even got a few photos in the spot that Kevin proposed. We had so much fun, and I was so happy they felt comfortable in front of the camera after a few photos. After enjoying our time at Union Station, we headed over to Mt Falcon East, only to find it was closed due to muddy conditions! So we headed over to Red Rocks. Thank heavens they are so close. We got a great spot, and we got the most spectacular sunset! They were terrific, and I am just over the moon to work with them!

Take a peek at how adorable Kevin and Cara are below!
