Ruth Memorial Chapel Wedding

When I first met David and Laura, this Colorado wedding Photographer fell in love with them right away! Between Laura’s happy, positive personality! She is always smiling and so kind, and David is the same. He is so kind and has a fun personality. They are just downright fantastic to be around and spend time with! We had a great time with them when we did their engagement session, and if you haven’t seen those photos check them out here. But what is incredible about this pair is the love they have for their friends and family, and most especially for each other. It was so touching seeing how they interacted with their friends and family during their Special Day.

As we arrived at Blackstone for some getting ready and first look, we were super excited about the beauty of the building. Blackstone Country Club has this impressive entrance, and immediately I started envisioning photos in that spot and so many other areas. After the ceremony, we were super spoiled to go out on the golf carts to a bridge location for photos as well! It was such a unique spot.

First Look

As soon as David and Laura finished getting ready, we headed to the back terrace by the fireplace for their first look. David was so handsome in his deep blue suit, and Laura was stunning in her soft tulle gown and cute white tennis 🙂 I am all about comfort, and Laura had the right idea! As Laura called to David, he turned around to see his beautiful bride standing there, and his eyes just lit up. It was such a sweet moment. We snapped a few photos before heading over to the Ruth Memorial Chapel for their ceremony.

Christopher and I fell in love with the Ruth Memorial Chapel. David and Laura did have a venue change, but oh my gosh, I know it was the best choice possible. The Chapel was gorgeous, and they had decorated it so perfectly—everything from the soft creamy light to the beautiful white walls made for the most amazing photos. My favorite thing about the Chapel was the bell that everyone would get to ring after the ceremony.

I DO

With the pews filled with their friends and family, it was time for Laura to walk down the aisle to her love. David couldn’t take his eyes off of her as she walked to him, and I’m pretty sure he had tears in his eyes. Scott was amazing officiating their ceremony. He centered their day around God and the love they have for each other. Before saying I Do, Laura and David lit their unity candle and tied their Gods Knot. As they said their vows, and I do’s, you could feel the love there for them. It was such a fantastic feeling, and then David got to kiss his now-wife.

Following the newlyweds out of the Chapel, everyone stopped to ring the bell to celebrate the happy couple. At the same time, cars were driving by, honking, and people were cheering and congratulating them. David and Laura scooted back around into the Chapel to have their grand exit. Their friends and family lined up out front blowing bubbles. It was so much fun!

Getting back to Blackstone Country Club, we headed right for the golf carts to photograph their romantic and fun portraits; they could get back to their family and friends and celebrate! Will, their DJ, had the room filled with music and energy. Kaylee and the staff at Blackstone were such a fantastic group to work with. We just loved being there.

David and Laura, Congratulations, we are so excited and happy for you! We are so grateful that we were able to celebrate with you and capture the love and joy of your day. It was incredible, and we adore the two of you.
