A Dove House Colorado Summer Wedding

When Brenden and Amanda first locked eyes working at Bad Daddy’s Bar, they never could have imagined the beautiful adventure they would be heading on. You have to check out their engagement blog to see their cute story of courage and bowling 🙂 Back then, they certainly wouldn’t have guessed that someday they’d be saying “I DO” during a breathtaking Lionsgate Dove House wedding celebration.
The afternoon was bursting with joy and laughter. When Christopher and I arrived at Lionsgate, Amanda and her bride team were relaxing, enjoying mimosas in their cute pink, floral matching robes. With hair and makeup already done, they could enjoy the time with each other. Meanwhile, Brenden and his boys kept it real downstairs, playing poker, and having some laughs. No matching robes for them, but they all did have matching flasks 😉
As Amanda stepped into this elegant lace bohemian gown, she looked positively radiant! I knew right away that Brenden would not be able to take his eyes off her today.
One of my many favorite moments 🙂 To capture during the wedding day is a Daddy daughter first look. I was so excited when Amanda said she’d be doing one. It’s one of those moments that gets me in the feels every time. We had Amanda’s Dad Eric stand in the backyard at the Dove house, and Amanda called for her dad to turn around. You could see a proud daddy looking at his sweet baby girl when he saw her. I might have had to wipe my eyes secretly at that moment.
Sparkling First Look
If her daddy-daughter first look wasn’t enough emotion, we went straight over to the Chandelier Barn for her and Brenden’s first look. It’s such a spectacular spot for a first look. The Chandelier barn is one of my absolute favorite areas at Lionsgate. You have this breathtaking staircase and so many chandeliers sparkling from the ceiling. It’s magical in there!
While Amanda hung out in the Bridal suite, which again is one of my favorite bridal suites, and of course, I had to grab some photos of her in there 🙂 Brenden stood at the bottom of the staircase anticipation setting into seeing his Bride for the first time. Like a princess, Amanda slowly descended the stairs where Brenden was waiting.
Just like with her dad, when Amanda was ready, she called Brenden’s name, and he turned around. Words can’t do justice to his reaction to seeing her. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. What was most endearing is he couldn’t stop whispering, “you’re so beautiful.”
Let’s Get Married
Now Brenden and Amanda were ready to get married on this warm, radiant Colorado summer day! As Brenden stood at the altar, even though they had had their first look, he was filled with emotion. Watching his stunning bride escorted across the lawn by her dad, his eyes filled with tears. Brenden couldn’t take his eyes off Amanda. When Amanda and her dad Eric stopped at the aisle, Amanda hugged her dad, he took his seat, and Amanda continued her walk down the aisle to her waiting soon-to-be husband.
With their closest family and friends and Uncle Al officiating, they sealed their love with their everlasting vows, rings, and of course, a kiss! It was indeed a beautiful ceremony.
Party Time
With this formal but relaxed vibe going, the party got started! I love when couples have things for their guests to do during the evening. If you weren’t watching the chickens out in the backyard, you could play giant Jenga, connect four, or the personalized cornhole. You could even take a stroll or sit on the tree swing. It was a perfect night for an indoor/outdoor good time. And when the DJ cranked up the music, the guests flooded the dance floor.
As our time at the party ended, we took the newlyweds outback once more for their early sparkler exit; needless to say, they would be partying well after we headed out.
Congratulations, Brenden and Amanda! Christopher and I are beyond grateful for the opportunity we’ve had to share in your love and joy throughout your engagement and especially on your Wedding Day. We love what we do because of couples like you! You both are astounding, and we can’t wait to see what your future holds! Love you both.
